I don't know if this is a book signing or what. So far I haven't been able to get through to a person on the phone number.
There is also some thing called a Praise Gathering in Indianapolis on Nov. 3-5 which has some heavy speakers: D. Miller, L. Sweet, McLaren and a bunch of others. I just saw the info at www.praisegathering.net. It's like $140, but I think it includes your room. I wish I'd have seen it sooner. Can't believe I've never heard about it.
Speaking of which... does anybody know anything about Anderson University? Taking my son there for a college visit this Friday. I know it's an Anderson Church of God school, but is taht a bad thing? He is looking for a progressive, a-little-bit-liberal, emergent-type of school where he can be stretched and grow as a Christ-follower. Then he's hoping to do seminary somewhere. I would appreciate anything anybody can tell me.

Praise Gathering is an annual thing presented by the Gaithers. It's heavy on Gospel Music, but the teaching is always good. We went once during our Findlay days. Sweet was there that year. He's good, but he's a better writer than speaker.

Also, I got through on the Donald Miller thing, and the kid said it was "supposed" to be a book signing, but they've asked him if he would speak. He said to come early as everybody was pretty pumped about god, I mean Don, being in town. :) He will have been at Anderson U. for a private gig during the day.

I'm an Anderson Business student. Yes, I would say that it is more "liberal" than IWU or Taylor. I wouldn't call us a Party School though. It's a great place. If you want to know more about it, leave your e-mail on my Blog.
