Urban Light Community Church

Andrew Draper spoke at our church today and gave the scoop on the church he's planting in Muncie, Indiana. Sounds like "what church will look like as a fresh expression" (see our tag line). I am excited to see what happens and would recommend you speak to him about it, or maybe even look into supporting their ministry financially. And if you happen to care... the Anderson U. visit went great. Leonard Sweet was their chapel speaker this past week; Donald Miller is chapel speaker this week. Geesh. Isaac is ready to sign up... and so am I! :)

Question... if you could get any speaker you wanted, who would you have speak at your church/chapel? I would say: 1) Bono; 2) Donald Miller; 3) Brian McLaren; 4) the Pope (don't know his name though).

I see Bono is the featured interview in the new Rolling Stone magazine and it appears to be about his views on Christianity. haven't read it yet. We also get Guitar World (or something) - a totally secular, mostly metal guitar magazine - and it's interestng how much press they give to "Christians". Not contemporary Christian artists, but people like Brian "Head" Welch, formerly of Korn and people like that who have left "the lifestyle" and become followers of Jesus. I think that's gerat when secular magazines will write about Christianity in a positive light. Makes you wonder...
