Reggie Joiner & North Point Community Church

I have become more familiar with Reggie Joiner and the church he serves outside Atlanta. This is the church pastored by Andy Stanley. Reggie developed an incredible family approach to teaching children with parents involvement - KidStuf.

But he also wrote a book with two others called "Seven Practices of Effective Ministry". The book uses the story of a pastor invited to a baseball game and what happens when he spends the game sitting with the team owner talking about what makes a team effective.

There is another book he wrote which is on my "to read" list called "Creating Community". Susan Callaway was sharing that book with us at the last Commission on Youth and Family meeting in October.

I have almost finished "Seven Practices" and we are starting to use some of the ideas to help us focus on what is our purpose both as a church and in certain ministry teams.

I'm one of the writers for KidStuf and would love to talk more about whether or not you wanted to implement this kind of program where you are.
