New Church Plant

In the Midwest, we have a new church plant starting Oct 15. Here is a note from the pastor.

Hey Guys

We just wanted to touch-base with all of you, give you a quick update, and ask for your continued prayer covering.

Things are going well with the transition to starting Sunday Services on Oct. 15. The core group is excited, enthusiastic, and are stepping up to the plate with dedication. From what I can discern and perceive, everything is falling into place and we are in good shape for the launch.

The main reason for me sending this email out to you guys is, even though everything is going well, we need your prayers. Most of you are pastors, so I will not give out any preacher talk... The next month or so for HealingPointe will be crucial. As I think about all the things that will happen in the next few months, I cannot help but feel a bit overwhelmed. The decisions that will have to be made, the church culture will be established, the mentoring and encouraging of young leaders (to be,) the personalities that will have to come together and be dealt with, and most importantly the hurting people that will come in and have to be made a part of the fellowship and be exposed to the love of God.

All these things running through my mind in a big blur brings one thing into perfect focus. We need God to supernaturally empower us and equip us for this task. He has given Amy and I a task that is to large for us to handle, on purpose. We need Him and His presence and we need your prayer.

Please feel free to pass this message along to anyone who you think would be willing to pray for us.

Thank you and be blessed!

Eric Starkey

Congrats Eric! We'll be praying for you all during this exciting time. It's a wild ride, but worth it. :)
