A New Template
When this blog was switched from old blogger to new, the template was changed. Not only did a lot of the old team members not come along, but the posting and commenting has severely slowed down too. So perhaps the problem is the template (?). Maybe it's too hard to read; maybe it's too intimidating; maybe it's too... whatever.
I vote we change to a different template. Heck, maybe even the old pink one. Or just a simple "minima." I realize this is pretty important, so I think we should open the voting up to all members past and present (and just to make Brent happy, maybe even allow anonymous voting). :)
Vote for one: (Don't be a square, be kind enough to share)
- the present template
- the old pink one
- minima white
- other

I don't know if the problem is the template. I wonder if it was just that not everyone came over to Blogger Beta right away, and therefore couldn't post here for so long that they just got out of the habit.
Anyway, I like the new template. I don't see anything intimidating about it.
I've personally slowed down due to busy-ness. I think the blog has ebbs and flows. I vote current template, but am open to changing it.
Well I guess I can live with this template, but I don't like how links show up. It's hard to differentiate them from regular text. Maybe my eyes are just too old. Is it possible even to change the font/size/color of the links on this template?
Are you using a different browser or operating system Dan? On my computer the links show up as bright blue highlights, pretty distinct against the white background and otherwise black text, IMHO. How do they appear to you?
Mike,
You know, I just noticed this morning that the links are blue on my computer at home (Firefox 1.5), but on my laptop (Firefox 2.0) they are a gold color. So I guess maybe it's just me.
Aha... the links are blue until I click them. They're gold after clicking on them. So it's the "visited link color" that's the problem (I think). I mean, not that it's a problem as far as world hunger and all, but... you know, it would be nice...
My links are also bright blue. I use Firefox.
I'm talking about the links within a post. Yes, they are bright blue for me too - UNTIL I CLICK THEM. On my template I can change the "visited link color". Perhaps instead of gold a "bold blue" or something. I don't know if it can even be done on this template, and I'm assuming Brian is the only one who can mess with that. It's under "Template"; "fonts and colors." Again, it's not a big deal though. Just a preference.
