CGGC in an Emerging World
The world is changing rapidly. Postmodern thinking is increasing in the west and the East is becoming part of the Global community. Many in the Churches of God General Conference are interested in what church will look like as fresh expressions in the 21st century. This blog has been encouraged by the CGGC but in no way reflects the official thinking of the denomination. It is a place for free flow of thought and conversation.

Gracias Douglas.

I have had the privaledge of spending a few days with Ed in St. Louis a couple of years ago, at an ACTS 29 Convention. We discussed the issues facing many of the church plants in the SBC and IFBC such as being theologically conservative and socially liberal. I think this issue that they are now tackling is going to be the issue we tackle as the cggc in the future. WE will all halve to look at what is tradition, what is biblical, and what is preference.
Everyone should investigate the Contreversy surrounding "The Journey" in St. Louis, and Darrin Patrick. Darrin is a friend and I believe God is using him in an awesome way. His issue will be our issue I'm afraid sooner than later.
Peace to you-
Justin Meier
