Scot McKnight at Winebrenner
A little birdie told me about this, and I see it is now on Scot's speaking schedule at jesuscreed.org. Should be good if any of you can make it to Findlay.

So, Dan, can that little birdie help out with some details about times and such? I could be just crazy enough to do a road trip ...
I have inquired about any other info. I "think" he will be there for a Summit on Jan 8, and that Jan. 9 will be Ritz Lectures.(?)
They may not have the details worked out yet, but perhaps if someone from WTS reads this blog... :)
At any rate, I think it would be great if as many people from the blog as possible could make it at least for Ritz lectures (I don't know if the summits are open to the public or not). I plan to be there!
The Theological Summit is on January 8. This an event (it's actually a class) that runs from 12:30-9:15 that day and will involve Dr. McKnight's lectures, small group discussion, worship, and other activities. At our summit a few weeks ago there was a special "summit only" audit rate ($50 I think) which I suspect will be available again. Ritz lectures in the past have been a 9-4 kind of thing and will be held on Wed. Jan. 9. There are usually 4 sessions, 2 before and 2 after lunch. I'm not sure about prices yet for this one. These things are being worked out now with more information to come.
I'm probably not the little birdie Dan was thinking of, but these are the kinds of questions they pay me to answer. So...if you need more information, just call.
Grace and peace,
Jim Wilder
Thanks for the info, Jim! Now, the task ahead is to see if I can convince the boss that I need to take a day off to come out at least for the Ritz lectures (Tuesdays are probably out of the question, making the summit out of the question).
So, if bloggy types drop in, we should have a beverage at George House afterwards.
Part One of a two-part interview with Dr. Scot McKnight from North Park University in Chicago. In part one, Drs. Nassif and McKnight discuss daily religious recitations in Jesus’ day and in our lives today.

Part Two of a two-part interview with Dr. Scot McKnight of North Park University. Atonement is not abstract theory, but rather it is our being drawn into the life of Christ. All of us are icons (images) of God, broken, but being restored back to our original shape, which is Christ Himself.
