Selling Your Soul on eBay (Literally...)
A friend of mine asked me to post this -
Dear Forum Members,
A friend of mine has made me aware of the following: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=160220834795&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=006
Not being an eBay user, I am not sure how long the above link will remain active. The item of the auction ("a human soul"/Item number: 160220834795) is described as follows: "I am selling the human soul of my friend Kristine Dias. Upon the highest bid being reached, the bidder will receive a contract signed by Kristine which will forever and irrevocably hand over her immortal soul."
In any case, whether you are an eBay user or not, I ask that you communicate with them so as to request their prohibiting such auctions in the future. Please encourage others to do the same. I presume that eBay members have direct channels of communication that could be utilized for this issue.
I found some options that are available to members and/or non-members from the eBay website... If one wanted to write a letter to the company: http://pages.ebay.com/aboutebay/contact.html
Members of eBay could consider utilizing discussion boards, etc.: http://pages.ebay.com/aboutebay/community.html
One could make a phone call or send an E-mail to Media Relations: http://news.ebay.com/contactus.cfm?media_contact=Call
Thank you.

To the best of my knowledge this is not an April Fool's joke. Brent
