John Winebrenner 101
In response to Dan M.:
Bill, I'm not sure if you're ever considered this, but why not create something (a book or booklet) that brought Winebrenner to the masses in our denomination. Things from his ministry along with the Scripture he was dealing with in such a way that would challenge and inspire us all.
How can we be true someone so many don't know? If our pastors and leaders aren't all thinking deeply about Winebrenner's example, who can the rest of the people in our congregations ever be?
and, walt:
dan m.,i completely agree. bill, some sort of introduction to the passion and vision of winebrenner is perhaps just the thing the cGgc needs right now to re-ignite it.
The Eastern Regional Conference is allowing me to lead two interactive break out sessions on "Churches of God History" at Conference again this year. I did two sessions last year and, surprisingly, it was truly a hot time in the old town. And, the Conference is willing to put itself through that again.
So, if you can make it to Conference, there will be two cutting edge, interactive guided discussions of John Winebrenner. I hope that some of you can take advantage.
I'd be willing to take my show on the road to other Conferences or IMPACT if invited.

Bill,
Sounds good. I was there last year and enjoyed the talks.
We ought to pray for you because these talks can be very important.
Dan,
You have GOT to introduce yourself to me at Conference!
If we looked for a place in between us, we could even hang out sometime. We're not that far apart.
Please pray for me as I prepare and as I present. Since you were there last year, you know that my goal is to get us excited about our past, which is something worth getting more excited about than most of us realize.
Talking about our past ought to be something that can get all of our leaders, shepherds, apostles and prophets alike - excited about.
How far are you from Harrisburg? I don't mind coming driving. I'm also in Lebanon on Tuesdays.
Bill - Drop me an email. I don't have your email address.
