CGGC in an Emerging World
The world is changing rapidly. Postmodern thinking is increasing in the west and the East is becoming part of the Global community. Many in the Churches of God General Conference are interested in what church will look like as fresh expressions in the 21st century. This blog has been encouraged by the CGGC but in no way reflects the official thinking of the denomination. It is a place for free flow of thought and conversation.

One celebration:
In the beginning I had a sense that, even as a whole body, we cared about what the Emerging Church cared about, i.e., turning postmoderns into Jesus followers.
I have encountered people and ideas that I would not otherwise engaged.
One thing I have deeply loved about this blog is that it was not institutionally created. It was encouraged by Wayne but never connected to the institution.
That's how the New Testament Body functioned. Read Paul's defense of his ministry in Galatians 1 and 2. In that way, this is the most 'New Testament plan' thing that has happened in the CGGC in many years.
I hope that the Lord will give a vision for the next thing to someone or several someones. I can't speak for the degree to which ending this is a work that God is calling Brian to but I hope He has something in mind that will powerfully advance our conversation in the future.
I do wonder if the end of this blog signifies that He is, indeed, spewing the CGGC as an institution out of His mouth. I'm not saying that I think He is. But, I have wondered at His grace and mercy that He has not done that already.
